Come get away at Woody's Cottages! Operating Schedule The cottages are open April 1 to October 31 each year, with consideration given for openings during other times of the year. Here is information about each of them, along with an online tour: Directions Getting to Woody's Cottages is easy: We're located on Dale Road, just off NC Highway 226 south of Spruce Pine. From the Blue Ridge Parkway & Marion, NC... Turn off the Parkway at the Museum of North Carolina Minerals exit (Milepost 331). From Marion, take NC 226/US 221 north, and turn left when NC 226 veers off to go to Spruce Pine. Follow 226 (not 226A) and go under the Blue Ridge Parkway. Follow NC 226 north 3 miles to Woody's Chair Shop. Turn left onto Dale Road and go 1 mile. You will see our sign on the right. From Johnson City, Tennessee Take I-26 towards Asheville, the take the Tennessee Highway 107 exit from Unicoi and follow it north to the state line, where it changes to NC 226. Stay on NC 226 through Spruce Pine to Dale Road. Turn right Dale Road and go 1 mile. We’re on the right. From Asheville, NC or Hickory, NC Take Interstate 40 to Marion. From Marion, take NC 226/US 221 north, and turn left when NC 226 veers off to go to Spruce Pine. Follow 226 (not 226A) and go under the Blue Ridge Parkway. Follow NC 226 north 3 miles to Woody's Chair Shop. Turn left onto Dale Road and go 1 mile. You will see our sign on the right.
