Woody's Cottages are located about three miles south of the town of Spruce Pine and three miles north of the Blue Ridge Parkway, one mile off NC 226.

Within two miles of the cottages to the north is a shopping center and about the same distance to the south is a Super Wal-Mart. We won't attempt to list the restaurants -- fish houses, fast food, country cooking.  A golf course, a little over a mile away, and the Chalet at little Switzerland, as well as one or two others, are about as upscale as we are willing to tolerate! Just rest assured that most palates will find something to their liking here.

The cottages have fully equipped kitchens with everything necessary to put meals together -- dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, coffee makers, microwave ovens. In addition to the Super Wal-Mart, approximately three miles away in the town of Spruce Pine is an Ingles Supermarket where you can buy groceries.  On NC 226, about a five-minute drive from the cottages, is the Produce Stand with the freshest vegetables and fruits you’ll ever find unless you grow them yourself!
